Tomorrow

Tomorrow is my triathlon. I had meant to use this blog as a record. Not only of my workouts, but my thoughts and feelings as the race day approached. Oops. Real life got in the way, and this blog fell by the wayside.

How am I feeling? Nervous, anxious, but also excited and determined. I AM going to finish this triathlon tomorrow and I WILL NOT give up.

I picked up my packet yesterday, and it turns out I have a very nice transition spot. I am race number 1325, and as you can see below I am in the front row, right where you bike in and out of the transition area. What THAT means is that I have only a very small distance to run in my bike cleats. Sweet!

I also signed up for the Athena division, instead of my age group. I handily met the requirement (female more than 150lbs), and figured I would have a better chance of placing higher in that group. What? I get competitive. Even if it is just for fun. Don't worry, I'm being punished for that thought. My race cap? BRIGHT PINK. I hate pink. With a passion, I hate pink. Ugh.

While walking through the expo yesterday, I found the perfect present for myself for when I finish the triathlon. As soon as I'm done and make it back to the car, this baby is going on the back.

Time to go pack up my things, shower, and head out for the hotel. Then to rack my bike. Then to possible freak out. AHHH. By this time tomorrow, I WILL be a triathlete!!
